Social Media Video Specialist

Job Description

Swappa is hiring a Social Media Video Specialist who thrives at creating short-form videos and UGC for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. We’re searching for a creative story teller who understands what it takes to drive results with modern Social Media and uses data as a guide for improvement.

This role will work closely with various Swappa teams and key partners to produce engaging video content while helping contribute to our overall Social Media and marketing efforts. This is an opportunity to drive meaningful growth for Swappa.

This is a full-time, remote, work-from-almost-anywhere role. (Part-time and contract work will be considered for the right candidate.)

Responsibilities

• Create Engaging Videos: Produce compelling short-form content for Social Media that highlights the tech we love and the great service we provide
• Edit User Generated Content: Edit user videos into branded content that helps drive commerce
• Engage Our Community: Connect with new, existing and potential users, sparking conversations and answering questions
• Expand Our Reach: Help us grow our audience, introducing more users to Swappa, our deals, and the great service we provide
• Support Marketing Efforts: Assist in content-driven marketing campaigns, ensuring content aligns with campaign goals and brand voice
• Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep current on Social Media trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring Swappa's content is timely, relevant, and authentic
• Report on Performance: Review content performance to determine what strategies and tactics best help accomplish our goals, including commerce and engagement
• Research and Brainstorm: Generate topic ideas that resonate with consumers looking to save money buying and selling used tech
• Communicate and Collaborate: Work and sync with various team members including marketing, support, and business development

Qualifications and Skills

• You have professional experience creating quality Social Media content and engaging with users
• You are organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
• You are friendly, collaborative, and experienced working with a remote, distributed team
• You are creative, yet motivated by results and hungry for data
• You have comfort and familiarity with modern Social Media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, LinkedIn, X (even if you still call it Twitter)
• You have access to and proficiency with the tools of the trade, including the hardware and software to create and edit quality video content
• You have some experience with Google’s suite of office applications, including Gmail, Docs and Sheets
• You are able and willing to participate in occasional travel (throughout the US)

Salary and Benefits

• $50-75,000 salary, based on experience and execution
