Who you are
We are looking to add a Social Media Intern to our Communications and Development department to aid our team with client Social Media strategy and management. As our Social Media Intern, you will be responsible for supporting our Social Media strategy and engagement across several different platforms. This candidate will be able to help us increase brand awareness, increase audience engagement, drive traffic, and support in overall calendar scheduling and content.
The Position
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Social Media efforts on different platforms
- Become familiar with various clients branding, ethos, and image
- Engage with similar brands and audience across several different Social Media platforms to increase brand awareness
- Become familiar with Social Media scheduling software such as Metricool and Hootsuite and support in scheduling content calendars across various platforms
- Support department with curating and creating engagement content, graphics, and videos
- Monitor Social Media metrics across various platforms and contribute ideas on improving performance to the department
- Assistance in ad hoc administrative projects
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Marketing, Communications, PR or a related field
- Familiarity with Social Media platforms and their respective audiences
- Familiarity with Canva and/or the Adobe Suite
- Strong copywriting and verbal communication skills
- Creative and analytical thinker
- Familiarity with scheduling software applications such as Metricool (preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with AI platforms such as Chat GPT (preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with HubSpot. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Website Builders, and basic CSS
- Knowledge of Social Media analytics and reporting tool is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Starting at $14 an hour
- Preferred Schedule: Monday and Wednesday, 7.75-15.50 hours per week.
