Social Media and Digital Content Intern Position Purpose

Create valuable and appealing social content about our company and products to reach our target audience. To drive impactful, educational, and even viral content creation that drives brand awareness through our Social Media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, as well as other areas of Kirby-Smith Machinery’s digital marketing strategy.

Social Media and Digital Content Intern Essential Functions

• Use creativity to develop new, highly engaging content to help grow our social audience.
• Produce and execute Social Media content, including in-app video content i.e., Instagram reels.
• Digital asset management – creating, organizing, and editing video, photography, and other graphics.
• Collaborate with team members in creative brainstorming and pitching new video concepts.
• Assist team and vendors in developing and executing campaigns, as well as tracking results.
• Responsible for QC (quality control), versioning, and delivering final approved promo edits into various specs for different digital platforms.
• Stay current with Social Media trends (including news, memes, celebrities, music, etc.) and find brand-appropriate ways to incorporate them into your content.
• Assist KSM Team with day-to-day film and digital marketing responsibilities.
• Partner with our internal social and brand team as needed.

Social Media and Digital Content Intern Minimum Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a four-year degree program - prefer majors in Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design, Art, Broadcast electronic media, Visual communications, or similar.
• Reside in the vicinity of the internship or have the ability to obtain housing. (Unable to accept work visa programs).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, & PowerPoint).
• Must possess exceptional video and graphic creation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience generating content on Social Media platforms (i.e., Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook) and understanding social video formats and guidelines).
• Clear and professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of industry-standard video editing tools (ex: After Effects, Avid, Premiere Pro, etc.) a plus.
• Experience working in Adobe PhotoShop, and Illustrator art programs is a plus.
• Strong video-editing skills. Sound design and animation experience are a plus.

Social Media and Digital Content Intern Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit for an extended time typing and using a computer (keyboard, mouse, and monitor).
