Social Media Communications Specialist

 

Location: Virginia Beach, VA (on-site)

Department: Marketing

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: Mon. – Fri.: 8:15AM – 5:00PM

Clinical Status: Non-Clinical

How you will contribute to LifeNet Health’s success:

 

The Social Media Communications Specialist oversees LifeNet Health’s external Social Media presence and internal communication strategies.  Collaborates with cross-functional teams and various internal business units, including marketing, communications, and design, to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Social Media Management: Develop and implement comprehensive Social Media strategies – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and emerging platforms – that align with LifeNet Health's brand identity and marketing goals. Plan and execute Social Media campaigns and collaborations to increase brand awareness, engagement, and reach. Respond promptly and professionally to comments, messages, inquiries from followers, demonstrating excellent customer service.
  • Scheduling and Analytics: Create, curate, and schedule engaging content, including text, image, and video posts, that resonate with our target audience and encourage interaction. Monitor, analyze, and report on Social Media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing campaigns and content.
  • Corporate Communications: Develop and implement internal communication strategies that foster engagement, transparency, and alignment among employees. Create and manage content for internal communication channels, such as company newsletters, intranet, and internal social platforms.
  • Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure internal communications reflect the organization's values, culture, and mission. Collaborate with HR and leadership to provide consistent and timely communication on company policies, events, and important information. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to ensure the organization's Social Media presence remains innovative and competitive.

 

What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements):

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • THREE (3) years of experience in Social Media management and/or internal communications

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing Communications, Advertising, Business, or related field)
  • FIVE (5) years of related experience in Social Media management and/or internal communications within the healthcare, medical, or life sciences sector.

  • Attention to Detail: Able to perform tasks thoroughly and with care.
  • Social Media Skillset: Proven track record of managing successful Social Media campaigns and growing engagement and followers.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to measure and report on Social Media performance.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing & across multiple levels in the organization.
  • Time Management: able to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload.
  • Added Plus: familiarity with healthcare terminology and trends is a plus.
