Job Summary: The Product Owner of Smart Factory solutions is a highly skilled and tech savvy IT professional that plays a crucial role in developing and deploying Smart Factory solutions. Following Agile principles, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, working closely with key internal business stakeholders to identify and manage the product back log. We are seeking a motivated individual who will be instrumental in translating business needs into actionable product requirements, ensuring we deliver cutting-edge solutions that help Hydro transform its North American Extrusion manufacturing operations into connected, intelligent, and real time digital factories of the future.

 

In this functional/technical role, you need to possess a deep understanding of Smart Factory ideologies, concepts, and technologies, while also having working knowledge of Agile principles and a general understanding of manufacturing concepts and processes.

 

Salary Range: $97,223 - $110,914

 

 

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. In lieu of education, a combination of 10 years of work experience and industry certifications will be considered
  • Minimum 5 years of Product Owner experience, using Agile methodologies in a manufacturing setting
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with MES software, to include in-depth knowledge of SCADA and HMI platforms, UPC-IA and MQTT protocols, as well as Industry 4.0/Smart Factory solutions such as OEE. Predictive Maintenance, Track and Trace, and Digital Work Instructions
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with Ignition Software, certification is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

 

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong technical acumen, Prior experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in a technology-driven environment is a plus.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing digital manufacturing solutions, utilizing data-driven decision-making
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product development best practices
  • Familiar with system architecture principles and Dev Op's cycles, experience working with cloud platforms and data analytics tools is also a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Product Backlog management: Collaboratively work with the IT leadership team and key business stakeholders to develop the product vision and roadmap for the focus area assigned to you. Also responsible for prioritizing features and ensuring that the product is aligned with business goals.
  • Embracing Agile Principles: The Product Owner champions the Agile methodologies within the manufacturing context, promoting iterative development, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Expertise: Analyze customer requirements and business needs to collaboratively determine the optimal Smart Factory solution architecture. Help implement integrated solutions that seamlessly connect devices, systems, and data.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts, progress updates and future roadmaps to key stakeholders, including business decision-makers and non-technical users
  • Metrics and measurement: Helps identify KPI's and measure the impact of Smart Factory Solutions on the company's manufacturing operations.
