Form of workAs a Smart Buildings Senior Specialist, you will oversee regionwide Smart Building initiatives, which includes the aggregation and systematization of current building system technologies for present and future uses in the most efficient manner.
Location of position: GSA, Public Buildings Service, Northwest/Arctic Region, Facilities Management Division in Portland, OR; Seattle or Tacoma, WA.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Qualifications:The GS-13 salary range starts at $111,234 per year for Portland, OR; $115,793 per year for Seattle or Tacoma, WA.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience is technical experience in the development, installation, application, analysis, technical support and use of building analytic programs, Building Automation Systems (BAS) and advanced metering systems. Applicants must have experience in translating building analytic programs, BAS and advanced meter system data and protocols into project specific strategies and implementation including design, installation, commissioning, training and ongoing use to maximize benefits. This experience must also include addressing issues and providing solutions to senior management regarding such systems and programs.
