Duties:
- Perform tests and procedures that test the brain waves and functions on sleep patients to perform studies and determine why they are having trouble sleeping through the night.
- Review patient medical history and document their sleep issues, and keep records of patient progress.
- Explain to patients the nature of procedures that will be performed on them and prepare them for the procedures.
Required:
- Associates Degree or Certification from an Accredited School in Polysomnography or have met the grandfathering requirements.
- Will take a NYS licensed Respiratory Therapist
- New York State RpSgT
- MUST HAVE THE NY CERT IN HAND
- Previous experience in Sleep Medicine
Additional Information:
- Night Tech positions are on a rotating day basis including weekends.
- They work two 13 1/2 hour days followed by one 13-hour day.
- The days rotate between the teams, and they do work weekends.
