The Skilled Maintenance Worker is responsible for providing specific routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of community grounds and property to maintain a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors while providing cost effective maintenance programs.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of related experience preferred
- Formal or on-the-job training in plumbing, electrical, painting, maintenance, carpentry and general repair preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
- Repairs and maintains physical structure and systems of community
- Maintains community grounds; may include lawn mowing, trimming, snow removal
- Completes all assigned maintenance work orders
- Repairs and maintains electrical and utility systems
- Performs preventative maintenance
- Maintains safety systems, such as: fire alarms, nurse call systems, security)
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Effectively read and interpret documents and instructions
- Capacity to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve
