THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

As Senior Site Reliability Manager you'll own end-to-end availability and performance FanDuel Podium Platform.  

You will passionately lead a team of SREs, using cutting-edge technologies to support our Podium Platform development, maintenance, and monitoring, while scaling our platform to meet the demands of the US market. Using lean and agile methodologies, you will be responsible for the pace, scale and performance of your team.

 Your exceptional communication skills will be key, not only to lead your team through a challenging, continuously changing environment but also on your constant interactions with a diverse group of stakeholders. 

 

THE GAME PLAN
 Everyone on our team has a part to play

   Manages a team focused on the whole production stack, making systems for a wide range of internal and external customers. 
   Flexibility on projects the SRM finds meaningful, and working on low-level problems relating to scale and efficiency. 
   Manages project goals, contributes to troubleshooting / systems / performance and developing their team. 
   Own the end-to-end availability and performance of Podium Platform. 
   Support domain devops engineering teams. 
   Support Cloud platforms engineer managers in planning and delivery of high scalable, performant, and efficient services. 
   Manage on-call rotations. 

 

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

   6 years plus 2 years management experience
   Proven track record of leading and managing teams on complex engineering projects, using agile methodologies.
   Experience working with distributed, redundant, and transactional systems and the infrastructure delivery of these.
   Experience working with Cloud Infrastructures and Cloud Automation solutions/tools.
   Managing the development of a team by ensuring that project tasks are in line with each team member's defined career path, as much as possible.
   Using defect tracking systems.
   Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, particularly with regard to technical risks, issues and constraints.
   Strong leader and energetic motivator. 
   Work well under time and environmental pressures. 
   Demonstrate senior principles, leading by example, showing work ethic and passionate, professional attitude. 
   Proven track of project management. 
   Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
   Team player, who strives to maximize team performance.
   Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus
