We are a distributed global team that sits at the hub of the Workday platform ensuring high reliability for our site, products, and services. We leverage data analysis, engineering, and incident response to ensure our customers receive the highest level of availability.

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Intern, you'll help build real world solutions and experience what it means to be a SRE at Workday. You will receive the unique opportunity to be mentored by industry experts while learning the SRE field. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. About You
Basic Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Java, Python, algorithms and/or data structures
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree with an anticipated graduation date no earlier than December 2024
- Currently pursuing a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or any engineering degree program
- Able to commit to a full-time internship program for 12 weeks during summer of 2024
- You will return to university studies after the conclusion of the internship

- Prior internship, coursework, or relevant project experience
- Interest in performance and scalability, metrics and monitoring, automated incident response, incident handling, distributed computing, cloud computing, big data analytics and visualization, platform and infrastructure scalability, highly available and resilient systems, Site Reliability, microservice architectures.
- What you may know: Ruby, Chef, Hadoop, MySQL, React, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Jenkins, Kafka, Ignite, Git, SVN, IntelliJ, JUnit, Cucumber, Mockito, Gradle, OpenStack, Wavefront, UNIX, etc.
