Job Description

Site Managers are the primary representatives for Bastian Solutions during the installation, commissioning, and startup portions of a project. Bastian Solutions, a Toyota Advanced Logistics company, has a strong, 60+ year presence in the North American market, with regional sales offices located throughout the US and Canada.

General Job Duties

• Close coordination with Project Manager and/or Sales as applicable
• Assist with final check of equipment layouts
• Input into installation contractor selection.
• On-site receiving of shipments (documenting damage, inventory equipment, preparing lay-down areas, etc.)
• Daily Site Reports back to project team
• Manage subcontractor personnel and hold them to Bastian and customer standards; costs and installation time based on goals / budgets received from Project Manager. Maintain a safe work site.
• Installing, starting-up and troubleshooting equipment that is generally not manufactured by Bastian, but whose quality and operation reflects on Bastian and affects the success of the project
• Assist in controls debug
• Develop and maintain installation and commissioning check list
• Respond to customer requests in a timely manner

Requirements

• 4-year Engineering Degree
• Energetic, Ambitious, Hard working
• Skilled in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLC troubleshooting
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• Must be fluent with the MS Office software suite
• Material Handling, Robotics, Manufacturing or Packaging background a plus
• Previous conveying experience a plus
• The candidate must have a solid understanding of the application of contemporary industrial control systems
• Strong demonstrated sense of customer service
• Ability to travel 80% (typically 10 days-on / 4 days off rotation)
• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Physical aspects of job include:


• Standing for long periods
• Periodic kneeling, crawling and climbing
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Working in environments that are not temperature controlled
