As a Site EHS Representative for Gallo’s Livingston winery, you will regularly collaborate with cross-functional partners from Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and other departments to help ensure the winery adheres to all applicable environmental, health and safety (EHS) regulations and standards.  You will collect and analyze data from various sources and use it to compile regulatory reports and compliance databases.  You will serve as a role model for safe work practices by delivering various forms of targeted safety communications, performing in-field observation of work activities, and assisting with job safety analyses and incident investigations.

What You Will Do 

EHS Compliance Assurance

• Conduct field walks to verify environmental permit and regulatory compliance.
• Compare your observations of workplace conditions to OSHA and company standards and communicate your findings to site leaders.
• Train other winery employees on compliant environmental and safety practices and procedures.

Data Management and Reporting

• Collect and compile data from various systems, records, and cross-functional partners.
• Prepare compliance reports for submittal to regulatory agencies.
• Maintain EHS metrics performance tracking files.

What You Need

• High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of related experience. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access); data manipulation and analysis. 
• Ability to present information effectively to a wide variety of audiences. 
• Required to work evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled. 
• Ability to source, read, understand, and interpret EHS regulations as published by government agencies. 
• Skilled in developing clear written communications, procedures, and work instructions. 
• Skilled in effectively communicating in oral and written form
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart

• Bachelor of Science degree. 
• Experience managing multiple assignments. 
• Knowledge of and experience working with OSHA/Cal OSHA/EPA/Cal EPA standards. 
• Competency in statistical analysis. 
• Excellent communication skills.

Compensation:

• Hiring Salary Range Posted: $29.28 - $43.89 / hour
• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
