The Shop Technician is responsible for assembly, disassembly, and reassembly of general equipment. The Shop Technician will operate required tools for the disassembly and assembly of equipment and utilize various M&TE (micrometers, calipers, etc..) for the inspection of the equipment used in solid control. The Shop Technician will work Monday through Friday, with overtime available.
Key Tasks:
- Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and rebuild various types of support equipment.
- Operate manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools.
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
- Must be reliable and accountable to complete work.
- Prepare equipment for upcoming work.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other Characteristics:
- Ability to use variety of power and hand tools.
- Ability to use and comprehend inspection tools.
- Ability to operate equipment including Front end loaders, Forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Must be able to read and write in English fluently.
- Must have manual dexterity.
- Control precision.
- Critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have reliable transportation.
