Job description

*Must be able to pass an incoming drug screen and background check*
As a Shop Hand, you will be asked to properly and efficiently perform all wireline service shop duties as directed by senior and supervisory personnel.
You will be responsible for:
  • Quality control of all subs and associated equipment and use good judgment on all assembly aspects.
  • Maintain inventory of all associated equipment supplies used.
  • Documents explosives used for building by type, name, net explosive weight and date shift code
  • Constructs perforating guns using and connecting gun bodies, detonator cord, charges, igniters, switches and wires.
  • Checks perforating guns for proper current and usability
  • Load carriers as specified by procedure
  • Inventories materials, tools, and supplies as needed
  • Cleans work area, tools, and equipment
  • Performs other routine duties as assigned by your supervisor
  • Ensure compliance with DOT and ATF guidelines
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Ability to pass a Federal background check
  • Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred
  • Promotes safety awareness and ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work and communicate well with customers and employees
  • Must be reachable via telephone 24 hours a day when in an “on call” status. Must report to work within 30 minutes of notification and work at well sites for extended periods of time
