Job Summary:
Shop Dispatcher Technician is responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day duties pertaining to the shop and equipment maintenance. Also, but not limited to dispatching crews, issuing/collecting tools, delivering tools or equipment to various job sites, as required and issuing/collecting documentation.
Main Responsibilities:
· Distribute work orders, documentation, binders etc. to the team lead and answer project questions
· Work together with team leads to ensure each crew has the materials / equipment needed to complete the project
· Receive & collect documentation, equipment inspections, maintenance requests and all other documentation from other team members and communicate to department as needed.
· Drive company vehicles to deliver/ pick up equipment to job sites
- Drive company vehicles to purchase or exchange equipment, tools, parts, and/or supplies.
· Direct the maintenance and repairs of all equipment, machines and shop tools.
- Manage and maintain all necessary maintenance records, work order system and prepares required reports to monitor productivity, OEE, and PM effectiveness. Drive improvement.
- Issue tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
- Contract with outside vendors for equipment repairs and abnormal maintenance. Ensure that all contractors are trained in safety matters and that insurance certificates are on file.
· Must maintain PM records for all equipment and recommend changes to improve OEE based on trend
· Work alongside of PM to Establish an adequate inventory of replacement and repair parts for equipment and machines. Oversee procurement of necessary parts.
- Participate in understanding and adhering to OSHA and EPA regulations. Ensure equipment and processes meet all requirements and initiates safety review on all new methods and equipment.
- Participate in establishing, maintaining, and training an effective plant emergency organization.
- Carefully inspect and measure all tools and equipment. Seek out defects and reports damage to manager.
- Repair, service and lubricate tools and equipment.
- Deliver tools or equipment to workers at various sites, if required.
- Mark and identify tools and equipment.
- Maintain Tool Crib clean and organized as per schedule.
- Must be willing to learn different positions and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE: One year experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules/signs, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Computer literate
- Ability to operate calculator, copier, fax and laminating machine
- Class C Drivers’ License required
- Ability to obtain Forklift Certification
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work weekends
