Shop Coordinator- Construction

POSITION SUMMARY
The Shop Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the shop teams in support of our field and construction efforts. This may include material coordination, data entry, reporting and updating shop construction schedules.
What you'll do:

• Issues and tracks materials and purchase orders, material arrival dates and receives material in web-based purchasing database
• Utilizes COINS (ERP system) for data entry and reporting - materials logs, etc.
• Assists shop and field with entering and updating construction schedules in MS Project
• Assembles and tracks subcontracts, change orders, insurance, billings, lien releases, and certified payroll from subcontractors
• Assembles binders with submittals, proposals, O&Ms
• Assists shop in tracking and creating daily field reports
• Assists shop in delivery scheduling for our projects
• Various other tasks as required by shop or project teams to meet our construction efforts
• Provides a variety of clerical and administrative support to the MW Construction Department
• General duties include word processing, data entry, ordering supplies, opening and sorting mail, copying, filing and faxing
• Uses word processing to develop routine reports, which may include graphs and charts and presentation materials
• Input Pounds (units of weight) of sheet metal inventory into COINS (ERP - accounting software) weekly
• Perform materials inventory on a quarterly basis
• Document and submit Shop employee timecards for all three trades (plumbing, piping, sheet metal) weekly
• Order and maintain inventory logs for Shop supplies
• Prepare Material Requisition forms
• Piping consignment management

What you bring to the table:

• Associate degree (AA) preferred or applicable experience
• Minimum two years related experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to set priorities and multi-task
• Competent analytical skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office-Excel, Word and PowerPoint other office equipment
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
