Job Description
- Follows and complies with safe operating practices and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Assist in cleanup at the end of each day for tools, parts, and equipment.
- Applies knowledge that is acquired through formal training or on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job.
- Act with integrity, demonstrate honesty and keep commitments. Behave in a consistent manner, keeping sensitive information confidential and adhering to ethical and professional standards.
- Perform minor adjustment and repairs on various types of trailer equipment including small patches, caulking/sealing, and other duties as assigned such as water testing, removing decals, sanding/grinding in a Shop environment.
- Perform intermediate adjustments and light repairs, small patches, caulking/sealing, water testing, removing decals, sanding/grinding and other duties as assigned such as aluminum and chem-lite, replacement of panels, cross-members, floorboards in a Shop environment.
- Identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of information, using sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives.
- Assist Trailer Body Shop Technician I with repairs.
- Manage concurrent assigned tasks, making effective judgments as to prioritizing work related activities and time allocations.
- Remain up to date on safety protocols and industry procedures.
- Use hand tools as well as basic power tools and safety equipment such as lifts, jacks, and stands.
- Accurately complete all forms of documentation including basic job descriptions on Repair Order and daily worked hours on Karmak application in a timely fashion.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most Standard Repair Times.
