Shop Assistant

Overview:
Busy manufacturing company seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team. As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our shop. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently. If you have experience in custodial or facilities maintenance, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain the shop area, including floors, restrooms, and common areas
- Perform industrial and commercial cleaning tasks, such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and buffing floors
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment

Experience:
- Previous experience in custodial or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.42 - $20.98 per hour
