The Cultural Activation Content intern will assist with all day-to-day social media efforts with the goal of fostering a loyal online community of Shipt enthusiasts. Cultural Activation at Shiptl leverages insights and cultural trends to help shape transformational creativity at Shipt and drive brand awareness, favorability, and buzz in service of business growth. This role is responsible for social media publishing, curating content from shoppers and consumers, engaging 1:1 with followers, and helping with real-time content ideas.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in social media across Instagram, TikTok Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Linkedin. This person is someone who lives and breathes social, has experience with social media monitoring and community management, and is a flexible team player with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Be a creative problem solver and blue sky thinker, innovating around interesting ways to grow the Shipt brand, versus relying on the expected playbook.
- Help manage the editorial calendar timelines, flight of content and scheduling of posts on a weekly basis.
- Support the social media response team in times when crisis situations arise.
- Monitor emerging trends, seasonal moments, and worldly events as it relates to social media while looking through the Shipt lens.
- Produce creative briefs and oversee actionable items needed for execution.
- Work with the creative team to create relevant, informative, and entertaining content tailored to our audiences.
- As a teammate, exemplify the Shipt values of Drive, Rally, Positivity, Caring, and Authenticity in your interactions with peers and when collaborating cross-functionally.
- Join forces with influencer marketing to support ongoing initiatives, budget trackers, and performance.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and best practices, tools, and analytics for the following platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Analytic skills and ability to relate results to our key business goals.
- Copywriting skills, including writing engaging copy under time pressure.
- Must be a team player with a resilient attitude and a proven ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines efficiently.
- Experience with creative, video editing and/or Content Creation is a plus
- Working knowledge of Google Docs, Zoom, Slack, and Wrike – these are the primary tools you'll be using for all of your work at Shipt.

This is a paid internship opportunity for Summer 2024. Our program will run for 10 weeks, beginning on Monday, June 3, 2024, and ending on Friday, August 9, 2024. Full program participation is required of all interns. Interns are expected to maintain a consistent full-time work schedule throughout their internship.
