RESPONSIBILITES
- Prepare shipments for pick-up by carrier specified on the customer order with accuracy.
- Maintain inventory of finished goods by counting and identifying information for inventory tracking and organization of racking and properly tagged products.
- Compile and maintain material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
Communicates with materials manager, plant manager, cell leaders and management to determine overdue material, parts needed and inform them of material status.
Examine material received, verifies parts numbers, and checks discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
Compare work ticket specifications to material used at work stations to verify appropriate assignment.
Expedite transfer of materials from stock area to production areas.
Perform cycle counting of materials as required with accuracy.
Ensure that materials are counted and/or weighed with accuracy.
Ensure that first-in, first-out (F.I.F.O) is being followed.
Count, inspect, verify and pack all outgoing shipments.
Prepare shipping materials as necessary to pack product into containers, affix labels, and place into cartons, totes, on skids, or other storage devices in an accurate manner as required by the customer.
Count, weigh, measure, and/or identify parts and part numbers for verification of shipment accuracy and inventory control.
Operate the hand-truck and fork-lift, to move materials to departments, appropriate locations and be able to load/unload trucks as necessary for shipments incoming and/or outgoing.
Communicate with purchasing as necessary to keep an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand.
Communicate and work closely with Shipping Coordinator, Customer Service and Manager to prepare and ship outgoing materials/products.
Determine and read the correct labeling requirements associated with correct part numbers and paperwork.
Maintain compliance of the companies shipping and inventory processes and procedures.
Comply with all work instructions, safety policies, and standards of conduct.
Maintain general housekeeping and organization of parts and equipment in the finished goods and dock areas.
Perform other duties as assigned including assisting co-workers as needed and working in other departments depending on production and department demands.

Must have a strong attention to detail
Must have the ability to process information and merchandise utilizing the computer system
Must have strong people skills and be able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and/or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
Must be computer literate and knowledgeable with MS Word and Excel.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior shipping/receiving/material handling experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must be a US Person: US Citizen, US Permanent Resident or Refugee/Asylum Seeker
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
SHIFT HOURS REQUIRED: Monday - Thursday 6:30am – 5:00pm, Hours subject to change based on customer/business demands and needs.
