Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Shipping Supervisor to join our team. As a Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving operations in our warehouse. Your attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and ability to manage a team will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of products to our customers.
Role and Responsibilities
This position is a full time position responsible for supervising the Shipping and Receiving department to ensure all bodies and other products are shipped out according to the schedule and customer order. The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain departmental day-to-day production activities, monitor and prioritize workflow and schedules
- Supervise all direct reports and give technical direction as needed
- Assist in hiring, training and reviewing performance of staff
- Use and conduct proper care of Personal Protective Equipment and make sure all team members do the same
- Willing to cross-train by moving to other work areas in order to support production needs
- Inspect assembly/components for conformance of specifications
- Get competitive quotes on from several freight carriers and book the most cost-effective carrier who can pick up and deliver in the necessary time frame according to the schedule
- Maintain electronic copies of all Bill of Ladings ensuring paper copy matches shipping schedule (serial numbers, quantities, models, etc.)
- Participate in and be prepared for weekly supervisor meetings
- Adhere to all safety parameters as outlined in the Warren Handbook
- Maintain clean, safe work area and ensure all team members do as well
- Make sure all employees in department clock in and out on time and work a full shift
- Track employee points and enforce the Warren points program
- Alert the Purchasing Department when parts are getting low and need to be re-stocked
- Participate in team atmosphere
Qualifications and Education Requirements
This position requires a GED or equivalent industry experience. The average years of experience for this position is 6 years.

The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will split time between an office setting and time in the shop. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. The employee may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
The employee is expected to be on time, ready to work on a daily basis. Normal business hours are determined by the employee’s manager. Mandatory overtime is sometimes required.
