Basic Purpose
Responsible for coordinating warehouse operations at the New Oxford distribution center to ensure the quality, cost-efficient storage, loading, and distribution of Plainville Brands products; assigning, training, and monitoring staff in accordance with company policies and government regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop and recommend warehouse policies, procedures, and
systems.
2. Coordinate all storage activities for fresh and frozen product on-site and at outside
storage facilities.
3. Ensure that picking and loading operations are completed for on-time deliveries, and
that pallets are wrapped and loaded according to customers’ requirements.
4. Perform inventory management and ensure proper rotation of inventory.
5. Coordinate equipment and labor to optimize lease/purchase/rental of equipment and
drivers. Work with Dispatch to ensure the most cost-effective means of delivery
(e.g., company-owned, full load carrier, LTL).
6. Resolve day-to-day issues involving warehouse and distribution operations.
7. Maintain all records and provide a variety of reporting and cost data for
management review.
8. Ensure equipment and work areas are appropriately maintained
9 . Establish and maintain appropriate working relationships with outside vendors and
internal company personnel. Serve as liaison with other processing
departments/plants and Customer Service to exchange information and coordinate
workflow.
10. Keep abreast of current warehousing technologies and systems.
11. Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, EEO, and other appropriate agencies
13. Perform other related responsibilities, as needed, to support business needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· Communicate performance standards to and coach direct reports which include salaried personnel on three shifts, , and indirectly 20-25 warehouse personnel, ensuring compliance with government regulations, DC/Shipping Compliance, company procedures, GMP’s & safety practices.
· Mentor and motivate team members, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.
· Communicate performance standards to team members, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments, and counseling performance problems.
· Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and five to seven years of related management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate with drivers, employees, customers and vendors in a professional manner.
· Good judgment and strong problem resolution skills.
· Strong Word, Excel and Outlook skills.
· Strong working knowledge of application of IT/ERP systems related to warehouse & transportation with the ability to learn company software quickly.
· Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
