YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate Domestic and International JPS & Parts shipments with freight forwarders.
Maintain aging, stocking and allocation, reports for BRP products.
Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
Inspect received material for quality and quantity, and initiate freight damage claim for material received damaged.
Create Bill of Lading and Packing list for each order and provide necessary information to all for the creation of international documents.
Receive in vendor receipts and Sturtevant material.
Perform cube & weight for new parts, enter data and assign temporary location.
Create necessary inspection reports and coordinate return of defective products.
Create and send damage reports to appropriate freight claim people. (Penske)
Expedite "dry dock" parts process.
Ensure hazardous compliance for all shipping (backup to Outbound Coordinator).
Create IMO (Ocean) and or IATA (Air) DG Declarations.
Serve as backup for Outbound & Administrative Coordinators.
Serve as backup trainer for HAZMAT training..
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High School Diploma or GED required along with one year of warehouse related experience in shipping and receiving.
Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
Previous shipping and receiving experience
Ability to read and understand shipping and receiving documents.
Strong communications skills both written and verbal
Working knowledge of Gmail, MS Office; excel and word, Mainframe, JDE, ADP, SAP a plus.
Basic ability to enter data into established computer programs, create simple word processing and spreadsheet documents, correspond by e-mail, and other related computer-based activities.
Trained in the use of the inventory management systems
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task is essential
Ability to work autonomously, yet as a member of a team
Ability to communicate courteously, clearly, and effectively with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and truck drivers.
Experience with freight forwarders.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve, think strategically, and implement process improvements in an environment that requires flexibility
