Position Details:
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Starting Wage: $24.00/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Check and receive in incoming shipments of all material, including unpackaging, verifying counts, parts inspection, reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation
- Completes daily receiving entries in ERP computer system
- Notifies and/or delivers incoming product to end user or location
- Assist with management of outbound shipments, including packaging and arrangement of transportation services
- Along with the staff of Shipping and Receiving, assists with management of inventory organization, racking and parts bin ID labeling, periodic cycle counts and reporting
- Forklift certified to transfer, load and unload large shipments, Forklift maintenance
- Verifying quality and quantity of outgoing orders
- Checking incoming freight against packing slip and informing appropriate personnel of damaged and/or incorrectly shipped goods.
- Back up Shipping Admin duties including calling logistic companies to schedule load pickups, printing daily shipping orders and assisting to pull product from finished goods; matching part numbers and quantities
- Accurately prepare and apply packing slips, labels
- Tracking inventory to determine re-order points
- Operation of a ERP to investigate inventory issues
- Back up shipping supervisor responsibilities
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma / GED
- 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment
- Familiar with shipping and handling logistics and procedures in a warehouse environment
- 1+ years’ experience operating a forklift
- Ability to achieve and maintain Company’s forklift certification
- Must be computer literate and able to use MRP system, locator system and familiar with shipping, receiving and purchasing paperwork and documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with coworkers and supervisors as well as outside suppliers, customers, shipping firms and truck drivers.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools or controls.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and move from place to place.
