Position Details:

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm 
• Starting Wage: $24.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Check and receive in incoming shipments of all material, including unpackaging, verifying counts, parts inspection, reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation
• Completes daily receiving entries in ERP computer system
• Notifies and/or delivers incoming product to end user or location
• Assist with management of outbound shipments, including packaging and arrangement of transportation services
• Along with the staff of Shipping and Receiving, assists with management of inventory organization, racking and parts bin ID labeling, periodic cycle counts and reporting
• Forklift certified to transfer, load and unload large shipments, Forklift maintenance
• Verifying quality and quantity of outgoing orders
• Checking incoming freight against packing slip and informing appropriate personnel of damaged and/or incorrectly shipped goods.
• Back up Shipping Admin duties including calling logistic companies to schedule load pickups, printing daily shipping orders and assisting to pull product from finished goods; matching part numbers and quantities
• Accurately prepare and apply packing slips, labels
• Tracking inventory to determine re-order points
• Operation of a ERP to investigate inventory issues
• Back up shipping supervisor responsibilities
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma / GED
• 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment
• Familiar with shipping and handling logistics and procedures in a warehouse environment
• 1+ years’ experience operating a forklift
• Ability to achieve and maintain Company’s forklift certification
• Must be computer literate and able to use MRP system, locator system and familiar with shipping, receiving and purchasing paperwork and documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with coworkers and supervisors as well as outside suppliers, customers, shipping firms and truck drivers.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools or controls.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and move from place to place.
