Stand Up Forklift Operator - 3rd shift

MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client, are NOW HIRING a 3rd shiftStand up Forklift Operator in the Indianapolis, IN, area!

Pay: $17.50 / hour

Shift: 3rd shift, 10:30PM - 7AM, Monday to Saturday

(Mandatory OT required)

Forklift Operators operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks cars or trucks or storage facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate sit-down, double-reach, and pallet jack forklifts to move products between inventory storage and production lines. Hitch trucks to warehouse docks and stage pallets efficiently.
• Prioritize safety by adhering to company safety procedures to ensure zero injuries.
• Maintain quality work processes by documenting and tracking production variables, downtime, and product samples. Ensure proper blending of raw materials and follow recipe specifications accurately.
• Support the ConAgra Performance System (CPS) and High Performance Work Systems. Participate in activities such as 5S, team collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous skills development.
• Follow Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to uphold quality standards.
• Remove waste from production line floors and containers, and dispose of it in designated areas.
• Utilize inventory control devices to view, track, and adjust product inventory. Perform cycle counts and corrections as necessary.
• Load and unload trucks with full and partial pallets. Transport supplies to production areas as required.
• Documentation: Record truck set temperatures, SKU numbers for loose cases, and monitor conveyor systems. Communicate any issues to supervisors promptly.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ months of experience working in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment
• Sit down and Standup double reach Forklifts experience is REQUIRED
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate monitoring equipment required

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a food processing or packaging environment
• Experience work in a USDA, FDA, OSHA, or GMP compliant environment
• Proficiency in SAP

Physical Requirements:

• Sit, stand, walk and climb stairs during time on duty
• Operate a standup double-reach forklift truck to pick and put away products in the refrigerated warehouse.
• Physically able to respond timely to emergency situations at facility

Work Environment: Temperature controlled work area.

Dress Code: No jewelries, No Nail polish, No artificial nails. Must wear long pants with no holes or rips. Steel toes shoes.
