As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Modern Hydrogen, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of materials both into and out of our facility. You will be responsible for handling incoming shipments, verifying their contents, and distributing them to the appropriate departments. Additionally, you will prepare outgoing shipments, including packing items securely and coordinating with carriers for timely delivery. You will be expected to work on-site in our facility 5 days per week.

Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments of materials, supplies, and products, verifying accuracy against packing slips or purchase orders.
- Unload delivery trucks and move materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as necessary.
- Inspect received items for damage or defects and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Process and distribute received materials to the relevant departments or individuals in a timely manner.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to shipping requirements and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and deliveries, ensuring that shipments are dispatched on schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, including tracking numbers, quantities, and delivery dates.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in conducting regular physical counts to reconcile discrepancies.
- Keep shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as inventory management, order picking, or general housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Experience in inventory control and inventory transactions. Prior experience with NetSuite strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and track inventory data.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, can interact professionally with colleagues and external partners.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
