The Opportunity:
An experienced Shipping & Receiving will fill an important role within our company. As the last touch point before we ship to our customers, the Shipping & Receiving team ensures that the product we are delivering to the customer meets all Dober specifications as well as complying with all Domestic and International Regulatory requirements.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Clearly communicates and works with cross functional groups such as Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Regulatory to ensure orders are shipped on time, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Assumes responsibility for the proper picking, labeling, and packaging of all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Arrange for and schedules trucks for daily shipments.
- Loads and unloads product from trucks
- Prior to shipments leaving this facility, confirms that all packaging is completed properly and meets or exceeds DOT, IATA and IMDG regulations as well as those of FedEx and UPS.
- Responsible for shipment processing in Dober’s ERP software, JDE
- Responsible for inventory management in Dober’s ERP software, JDE – will include counting material and processing inventory accurately within JDE
- Effectively reports on warehouse metrics such as on time shipments, inventory accuracy, and safety
- Believes and lives by the motto “Pride in Place” to proactively create a safer, cleaner and more efficient warehouse operation.
- Work with carriers to obtain freight quote.
- Material Handling – May be required to package material for shipments as well as pull samples of inbound material.
Required Qualifications / Experience:
- 2 - 3+ years of experience working in warehouse environment
- Ability to safely operate fork lift
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Situational Awareness
- Strong Computer Skills
- Microsoft Office Skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with JD Edwards (ERP system)
Additional Experience Preferred
- Hazardous material training such as 49 CFR, IATA, and IMDG
- Knowledge of international shipping
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
