Job Description:
MAJOR PURPOSE:
Coordinates all daily shipping and receiving activities to include configuring loads, supervising packaging, and coordinating with different carriers to assure proper delivery of products. Gives work direction and/or supervises shipping personnel, both internal and external (carriers).

MAJOR DUTIES:
Description of the major duties performed in this job.

Supervises and/or gives work direction to shipping department personnel related to packaging, loading of products, receipt and stocking of materials.
Coordinates shipping departments activities and establishes priority schedules.
Arranges and contacts carriers for product pick-up and delivery to include changes in transportation methods with consideration to service and cost.
Maintains/creates and/or provides data for various shipping reports, inventory locations, etc.
Creates processes and/or reviews shipping documents.
Manages and controls updates in various systems by shipping personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical skills, formal education, and relevant work experience critical for successful individual performance of essential functions.

Specialized skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the job.

Understanding of Order Fulfillment Process. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
Knowledge of unit processes and operations. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
Education:
Formal education or training required to perform the essential functions of the job. Includes degrees, certifications, licenses and/or registration requirements.

Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (1-2 years or equivalent)
Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (1-2 years or equivalent)
Degree in a Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (1-2 years or equivalent)
Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (1-2 years or equivalent)
Relevant Work Experiences:
Type and amount of experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. May include specific roles and/or an understanding of a particular function, organization, industry or product line.

Experience in specific areas of Supply Management such as: supplier integration, strategic supply management, supplier development, module supply management, scheduling, forecasting, logistics, etc. May be position specific. - Less than 1 year
• Work experience in a team environment. - Less than 1 year

Specific Position Requirements
The contingent would be transferring and handling lithium-ion batteries. The batteries will still be incased but need to be packaged and transferred in a company car with a trailer (25 ft).
Act as a liaison between management, employees, and 3rd Party Logistics Providers

· Identify DG/HM direct material, indirect material, complete goods for shipping operations
· Identify employees performing DG/HM related to shipping functions
· Assure employees are held accountable for their DG/HM responsibilities
· Maintain DG/HM training & shipping records per regulations
· Ensure employees have proper training per country and modes of transport
· Implement and maintain the Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Management System (DGMS/HMMS)
· Receive certification training relative to responsibilities in area of DG/HM shipping in order to be qualified to be the in house expert
· Develop, communicate and implement work instruction processes (e.g. packaging, shipping)
· Conduct annual DGMS/HMMS self-assessment
· Coordinate employee DG/HM training
· Work closely with DG/HM shipping, receiving and mailroom operations
· Communicate DG/HM information employees on a regular basis
· Monitor DG/HM regulations for changes
