Shipping Clerk

Position Summary:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and maintaining the warehouse organized. Collaborates and communicates with logistics manager and other team members in the warehouse and production floor.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

• Responsible for preparation & execution of all tasks relative to proper shipping of Finished Goods.
• Identifies most efficient & cost-effective methods of transportation, including delivery schedules & times, tariffs, expedites, international shipments, etc.
• Maintains documentation and records in a manner that supports Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Operates forklift machinery in the manner trained to ship goods.
• Performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies, including but not limited to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Education or Formal Training:

HS diploma or equivalent preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training.

Experience:
Experience in warehouse operations, forklift operation, order selecting, pallet stacking, BOL’s, basic computer usage and overall familiarity of material flow.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of number and identification labels, reading shipping documents, composing emails and internal and external customer service.

Abilities:
Ability to handle multiple projects.

Ability to operate or learn to operate forklift machines.

Ability to walk about for up to eight hours.

Work Environment/Physical Activities:
Frequent lifting and moving of incoming and outgoing materials.

Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and parts containers. Warehouse may have times of unusually high or low temperatures.

Overtime may be required to meet production schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
