The Shipping Associate will process complex orders within the day to day packing and shipping for both small parcel and truck line orders. Incumbent will ensure high quality standards are achieved, deadlines are met and a collaborative and efficient process is performed, adhered to and contributes to improvements.
- Package products according to established procedures or customer requirements.
- Process orders within ERP and shipping systems.
- Review order consolidation requests.
- Palletize truck line orders.
- Work with freight carriers as needed to arrange product pickup.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Competent in the use of shipping systems like UPS, FedEX, and DHL
- Moderate knowledge and use of Windows based operating systems including warehouse systems and MS Office
- Moderate knowledge of warehouse operations while achieving high quality standards
- Working knowledge of various warehouse types of equipment utilized - i.e. pallet rider, pallet jack, reach forklift
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to assist others in completing work assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and track difficult tasks in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to projects and improvements
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 year of full-time job-related experience
- Requires experience performing cycle counting and related inventory control
- Will be required to maintain a forklift certification throughout employment. Hamilton will ensure incumbent is trained and certified
