The Shipping Associate will be responsible for opening and routing incoming packages and shipping out a variety of orthodontic appliances to clients across the country. You are the first and last step in our manufacturing process. This position requires overtime hours, as needed, in times of increased workload.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client NEOlab, or New England Orthodontic Laboratory, is a family-owned and family-run orthodontics manufacturer serving the Boston area. They are located in Andover, MA and are home to more than 120 employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Open all incoming packages from our clients
- Sanitize and code all models and place in appropriate colored pans according to our system
- Wrap outgoing appliances.
- Use UPS WorldShip
- Follow detailed Shipping directions
- Problem solve as needed
- Learn when to ask for assistance and when to independently make decisions
- Work as a team player
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Work in a stationary position for several hours at a time
- Stand and move around your environment for several hours at a time
- It is the responsibility of the shipping personnel to correctly package all individual patient cases, as dependent on appliance type. Personnel are also responsible for correctly packaging and securing shipping boxes to protect the contained cases during distribution. It is also the responsibility of the shipping personnel to ensure all cases are sorted by office, and that these cases are not intermixed with shipments bound for other locations

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to move, transport, position, put, install and lift packages up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to position self to move in many different positions; sit, stand, reach, extend 100% of the time.
- Must be able to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect and position self to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as copy machine and computer printer
