A driver for an e-waste recycling company is responsible for transporting electronic waste from various sources to designated facilities for processing and disposal. Some of the job duties and requirements are:
Driving and Operating: Drive a 26ft Box truck to transport e-waste materials. Load and unload cargo, secure items for transport, and follow safety procedures. Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, and lift gates as needed.
Customer Service and Communication: Interact with customers, clients, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner. Provide receipts, invoices, and other documents as required. Report any issues, delays, or accidents to the supervisor or dispatcher.
Compliance and Record-Keeping: Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding e-waste handling, transportation, and disposal. Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel, hours, and cargo. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills: Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Have at least one year of driving experience, preferably in the recycling or waste management industry. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching. Have basic math and computer skills.
When there are no pickups available the employee would work in the warehouse processing E-Waste.
