Core responsibilities include, but not limited to:
1. Prepare the daily shipping process by creating all the shipping documents required such as packing slip, invoice, bill of lading and entering tracking numbers for tracing purposes in SAP after orders are shipped.
2. Assisting in planning the daily route for the drivers on a needed basis.
3. Review emails on a daily basis and reply in a timely manner.
4. Determines best method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
5. Arrange schedule for shipments with trucking companies and consolidation orders. As well as scheduling pickup and delivery appointments as needed for the receiving and shipping departments.
6. Handle freight quotes requested by other departments (obtain at least 3 different quotes to compare pricing).
7. Communicate with trucking companies whenever is necessary for any problems with shipments either to be picked up, in transit or delivered.
8. ommunicate between corresponding departments about any issues related to pending shipments/deliveries and obtaining payment approvals from Accounting Receivable before shipping orders, only when applicable.
9. Maintain driver’s phones and fleet maintenance record, including Pre and Post trip Inspection Forms. Inform Management if any repairs are necessary.
10. Review invoice discrepancies requested by the Accounting Payable department.
11. Process the paperwork for Will Call, Customer Trucking and Employee Purchase orders, on a needed basis.
12. Review the temporary employee’s time cards on a weekly basis to confirm that the working hours are accurate as well as handling the paperwork for any sick and/or vacation time request by the temp employees and submit it to the corresponding agency via email after it has been approved and signed by the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Manager.
13. Perform any other work-related duties as assigned.

Prior shipping experience is helpful
Schedule:
- Regular shift is Monday to Friday from 8am~5pm but overtime may be required depending on workload
- Saturday overtime may be required based on workload (more than likely only during busy season May~September)

Pay: $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
