Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent, attentive, and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving / Workflow Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing the Shipping and receiving processes, ensuring materials are delivered and stored efficiently, and supporting production by maintaining a smooth flow of materials and components throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the Shipping and receiving process, including preparing items for shipment, receiving incoming materials, and verifying quantities against orders.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries.
- Perform regular inventory checks and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure material availability and accuracy.
- Act as a Workflow Assistant/ Water Spider, ensuring the continuous flow of materials and components to production lines, minimizing downtime and supporting just-in-time (JIT) production.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts.
- Ensure the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas are organized, clean, and safe at all times.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve any material shortages or discrepancies.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or related fields are a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or material handling, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (certification may be required).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Spanish speaking
