Responsibilities:
- Assign tasks to Warehouse personnel to maintain the flow of production and distribution.
- Initiate changes to the Bill of Ladings, report shortages and mis-ships to Accounting and Transportation for transfers and adjustments.
- Manage inventory and maintain FIFO procedures.
- Maintain facility docks and warehouse to ensure the flow of production and shipping.
- Effectively train, monitor, and certify all employees utilizing motorized vehicle equipment.
- Communicate pallet counts to operations for weekly forecasting.
- Coordinate with QA Manager on Hold products in the warehouse.
- Develop and maintain responsibilities as set forth by the SFQA Manager. This includes creating Standard Operating Procedures on warehousing and storage, receiving procedures, vehicle seal safety programs, and carrier inspections.
- Control incoming allergens and maintain allergen racks to prevent cross contamination.
- Adhere to all environmental, health and safety requirements and procedures.
- Responsible for food safety and quality.
- Develop subordinates’ ability to understand, manage, and affect the department in a positive professional way by ensuring that all drivers have been trained and certified when applicable.
- Monitor and oversee both outgoing and incoming shipping activities to make sure that goods that are received or shipped out are in perfect condition.
- Post weight and shipping charges as applies to each item to be shipped out.
- Compile and report unfulfilled orders.
- Direct the movement of shipments from shipping points to storage and/or work areas.
- Inspect loading operations to make sure that they comply with shipping specifications.
- Determine priorities and shipping methods that are needed to meet schedules.
- Notify maintenance unit or contact external service providers in the case of defects on materials for repairs.
- Manage transactions related to shipping services.
- Carry out regular inventory reconciliation of supplied materials.
- Resolve shipping units and vendors in the case of discrepancies in shipments and reconcile with the appropriate individuals.
- Identify opportunities for enhancement and suggest ways of improvement to top management of the organization.
- Ensure the availability of stock to reduce shortages.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in related field and at least 3 years of experience working with Distribution or Transportation for consumer product manufacturer OR High School diploma and 5 years of experience working in a Distribution or Transportation manufacturing environment.
- Certification in OSHA training for Motorized Vehicles.
- Demonstrated experience working with distribution carriers, suppliers, and vendors.
- At least three years’ experience managing several employees, preferably on more than one shift.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
