Shipping and Receiving Lead

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Receiving Lead to join our team. As the Receiving Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the receiving process, ensuring the accurate and timely receipt of goods and materials. This is a critical role in our warehouse operations, and we are looking for someone who can effectively manage a team and maintain efficient workflows.

Duties:
- Oversee the receiving process, including unloading trucks, inspecting shipments, and verifying quantities
- Ensure all received items are properly labeled, tagged, and stored in designated locations
- Utilize warehouse management system to accurately record and track inventory
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments
- Train and supervise receiving team members, providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to safety guidelines and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with warehouse management to develop and implement process improvements

Experience:
- Previous experience in materials handling or warehouse operations
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations
- Experience in an e-commerce or fast-paced distribution environment is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
