Shipping And Receiving Associate

Gerhart has an immediate opening for a Shipping and Receiving Associate based in our Tatamy, PA location. Candidates should have outstanding communication skills, and have a “can-do!” attitude. Candidates must be goal driven, coachable, and relatable experience!

The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for overseeing the Systems Production and Material processes including: Shipping, Receiving, and Material Management.

Main Responsibilities

• Shipping outgoing Systems finished products
  • Including prepping equipment for shipment. Packaging, crating, etc.
• Receiving Incoming Material, processing paperwork, and assist in unloading/delivery of packages
• Material non-conforming and return process
• Material Management including:
  • On Hand Qty, and Minimum On Hand Qty
  • On Order Qty
  • Part Inventory Location
  • Stock Pull and Cycle Count
  • Communicating sourcing requirements to purchasing
• Oversee production build information including:
  • Production label generation
  • Packing Lists
  • Picture Documentation
• Track and update status of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Operate company vehicles to assist with pick-up and deliveries as needed

Qualifications:

• Be able to safely lift up to 75lbs
• Physically active with ability to bend, stretch, reach for items, move boxes throughout the facility
• Ability to obtain forklift qualification
• Use of various tools ranging from common hand and power tools, saws, drills and wrenches
• Good communications skills both written and verbal
• Strong sense of time organization with urgency
• Self-starter and motivated to work independently
• Prefer applicants to have 2+ years experience in a similar profession
• Must be computer literate and well organized
