Shipping And Receiving Associate

Do you have attention to detail, highly organized, and a team player? Our client in Sterling Heights is looking for a experienced Shipping and Receiving Associate to join their team. Our client specializes in custom Ball Screw manufacturing and specialty parts for military and other manufacturers. This is a 1st Shift position, Mon-Fri, 6:30AM-3:30PM, $18 per hour.

Summary Description: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies for the daily operations.
Responsibilities:

1. Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damages and accuracy
2. Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
3. Prepare and package products for shipment
4. Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
5. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
6. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. 1+ years of experience in Shipping and Receiving
3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
4. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
5. Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Forklift Certification
8. Overhead crane experience (preferred)
9. Familiarity with international shipping requirements/ customs paperwork (preferred)
