1st Shift - Shipping and Receiving Associate

Michigan Aluminum Corp. is a family-owned business founded in 1992 with two locations in Michigan. We are a leading provider of gutter materials throughout the state of Michigan. We are looking to add a full-time warehouse person at our Wixom location.

Requirements:
A warehouse associate will be trained on the company products and their storage location, color and product identification numbers. A warehouse associate will also be required to operate forklifts, follow safety procedures, communicate courteously with customers, work with other employees, and follow the instructions of supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material
- Fill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers picking up material and verify order
- Stock product throughout the warehouse
- Maintain clean and orderly workspace
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles
- Complete shipping reports.
- Load outbound delivery trucks.
- Unload inbound delivery trucks
- Follow safety procedures at all times.
- Abide by the company policies as described in the employee handbook.
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Work Activities:
- Performing General Physical Activities — Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
- Handling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
- Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships — Developing and maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships with customers and coworkers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
