Shipper/Local Delivery Driver

BONUSES:

-Sign On $300 Payable after 60 days of employment

-Production Incentive Currently averaging $4.00+per hour worked

-Attendance Up to $1.25 per hour for each scheduled hour worked

Base Pay $18.00 + Attendance Bonus $1.25 + Production Bonus $4.00 = $23.25/hour

Job Duties:

· Drive manual straight truck or pickup truck with trailer to transport parts in the local area

- Drive forklifts to move materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles or containers

- Stack cargo in locations as direct using skids or racks

· Install protective devices such as bracing, padding or strapping/banding to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported

· Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it to ensure timely and complete delivery

· Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, platforms, lifting devices or other transport vehicles

· Position lifting devices under, over or around loaded pallets, skids or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated loading, processing or storage areas.

· Perform tasks assigned by group leader/supervisor

· Responsible for

o Quality and quantity of work produced

o Accurately completing and submitting paperwork as required

o Maintaining work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition

o Following all safety rules and regulations

Requirements

· Experience driving a forklift and a straight truck

· Communicate (read, write, speak) the English language

· 18 years of age or older

- Valid driver's license with a For-Hire endorsement; no recent driving violations

- Professional appearance

- Willing to learn

· Lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis

· Use both hands/arms and legs to lift parts

· Occasionally bend, stoop, squat, climb stairs, or kneel

· Work 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, plus occasional overtime

· Ability to pass a pre-employment driving and drug/alcohol screening
