Shift Leader/Manager
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday mandatory, then as scheduled.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
2. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
3. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and wipe.
4. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move around at a brisk pace.
5. Must be able to work well under stress and exercise good judgment when dealing with guest problems and complaints.
6. Must be able to work on time in a company approved uniform.
7. Must maintain a professional appearance at all times.
8. Must actively participate in daily meetings.
9. Must possess excellent communication skills and be a customer service champion.
10. Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other team members.
11. Must follow proper food handling, safety, sanitation, and cleaning standards per Luby’s Food Safety & Sanitation Manual.
12. Must be knowledgeable of menu items, food quality standards, promotions, and daily specials.
13. Must be knowledgeable of Food-to-Go procedures and be able to accurately package Food-to-Go orders.
14. Must be able to work as a team with all staff and Management.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for providing leadership, coaching, and direction to Waitstaff.
2. Prior to shift, perform walk thru inspection of the dining room to ensure areas are correctly set up for service.
3. Assign server stations on CAKE and daily running duties for all FOH employees.
4. Ensures all employees are in approved uniform.
5. Directs Waitstaff to preview the CAKE listing for station assignment, pre-shift prep assignments and post-shift clean-up assignments.
6. During entirety of shift, continual travel thru out the dining room to ensure total guest satisfaction.
7. Greets guests in a timely and friendly manner.
8. Fulfills guest needs and assists with special requests. Checks frequently with tables to ensure excellence in food and service.
9. Handles guest concerns and complaints properly and in a calm, professional manner using LAST (Listen, Apologize, Solve, and Thank) approach.
10. Ensures that our guest have a great dining experience every time they visit by following the GOLDEN Rules of service:
§ G Greet guests immediately with a SMILE!
§ O Offer suggestions and assistance to our guests
§ L Leave a great impression on your guests
§ D Deliver food that is hot, fresh and delicious
§ E Ensure that everything is clean and organized
§ N Never leave a guest unhappy-Do what it takes to make it right!
11. Communicates with Management on any guest comments on complaints.
12. Ensures 30 minutes Bathroom cleaning procedures are being performed.
13. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring Waitstaff compliance with all company procedures and guidelines. Including check monitoring to ensure all items are rung up.
14. Assists and participates in daily interviews.
15. Assists with any deliveries for the day.
16. Orchestrates collecting of check outs from servers.
17. Performs EOD functions.
18. Monitors shift close-out by Waitstaff & checks all server stations using the close-out checklist.
19. Effectively communicates product, equipment, or operational issues to Management in a timely manner.
20. Communicates with manager on duty when necessary cuts have to be made.
21. Washes hands frequently.
22. Assist Management in any way that is conducive to the efficient operation of the restaurant.
23. Follows Daily Departmental Closing Procedures and checks with Management before leaving.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
