A Shift Leader is a crucial part of our business. A Shift Leader is the face of the restaurant during their shift and is responsible for ensuring each guest that visits walks away having a remarkable experience.
Restaurant Team Lead / Crew Lead / Shift Manager is generally offered as full time.
Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager very helpful to the success at this job but not required.
Responsibilities
Manage Daily Shift Operations- Maintain the expected flow of food through the management of staff on the production lines and order points. Identify and resolve bottlenecks. As directed by Restaurant Manager, assist in the running of staff breaks.
Food Safety- Ensure execution of critical systems and control points daily which contribute to food safety. Preform food safety audits via Safe Daily Critical on every shift worked.
Cleanliness- Lead a contingent of team members in maintaining a pre-set “zone” of the restaurant on a monthly basis. Manage and execute critical systems which contribute to cleanliness.
Product Quality- Ensure strict adherence to quality systems. Observe and evaluate product quality on both food products and customer service behaviors to ensure adherence to Chick-Fil-A requirements.
Job Requirements and Skills
* Available to work in front of house from Open to 5pm or in the back of the house from 2pm to Close
* Quick decision maker- frequent changes and adjustments needed daily
* Detail oriented
* Able to handle the stress of managing multiple activities at a time
* Optimistic - willing to push through adversity on a daily basis
* Preceptive problem solver who can identify problems, and bottlenecks and make quick adjustments
* Team leadership- create relationships and work closely with all members of the team
* Ability to give and receive feedback in real time
* Reliability
* Communication skills one on one and in group settings
* Customer service skills in handling complaints in person, on the phone and on the computer
Physical Requirements
* Ability to be on your feet 8-10hrs a day
* Moderate to heavy lifting required up to 50lbs
* This job requires frequent movement at a fast pace
* Requires bending, climbing ladders, etc...
* Working frequently in very hot or cold environments; with cooking equipment, refrigerators and freezers
Minimum Requirements
* 30+ hours a week
* 3 - 5 day work week
* Requires Saturdays
* Requires working some holidays
* High School Graduate or GED
* 18 years or older
