JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing Microsoft SharePoint Online technology and project delivery experience. Ensures successful implementation of Office 365 and SharePoint Online solutions for the organization. Provide guidance, expertise, and internal support on SharePoint Online projects utilizing Office 365, as well as execution, management, and administration of the SharePoint Online solutions. Participate in the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of enterprise-scale information portal and knowledge management system.  Performs related work as assigned.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:      

  • Develop and implement new SharePoint sites, integrate MPP applications, and create libraries.
  • Build scalable web applications, write and modify code, and debug software.
  • Assists in the migration and re-development of applications from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online
  • Add users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
  • Provide SharePoint support and end-user training.
  • Perform data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Ensure sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
  • Review usage and activity reports and make adjustments to ensure optimized user-experiences.
  • Design, configure, manage, and maintain comprehensive site collection, site list level usage reports, and usability analysis.
  • Manage and maintain site content and structure settings, site hierarchy, and site collection navigation
  • Keep up to date with SharePoint developments, version updates, and upgrades.
  • Identify and report governance violations related to Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Information Rights Management (IRM) configurations.
  • Update documentation, check the validity and accuracy of any documentation that is used by the end users, site owners and administrators
  • Configure and administer SharePoint and automate tasks
  • Work on tickets and service requests for Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint Online O365 Enterprise SharePoint meeting the SLAs in the ITSM system
  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise taxonomy, terms, and keywords for the term store
  • Manage and delete Site Collections and sub sites in Office 365 SharePoint Online system as per service requests
  • Schedule, plan, and performing system upgrades, including testing, rollback procedures and risk analysis for email and all related services.
  • Develop web look intranet portal collaboration intranet site and branding on SharePoint 365 platform
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or similar.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a SharePoint Developer.
  • Valid South Carolina Class “D” Driver’s License.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including Unified Logging System (ULS) Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.

Experience working with Active Directory, PowerShell, eDiscovery site collections.

Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Knowledge of the English language.

Knowledge of personal and peripheral computer equipment with skill in performing data entry and in the use of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office suite preferred, utilizing Outlook and all associated software programs;

Ability to read and write technical instructions, procedures, manuals and charts to solve practical problems; composing routine reports and specialized reports, forms and business letters with proper format; speaking compound sentences using normal grammar and word form;

Ability to collect, analyze and create reports from vendor data

Ability to provide information, guidance or assistance to people to directly facilitate task accomplishment; may give directions or assignments to helpers or assistants.

Ability to perform coordinating work involving guidelines and rules, with constant problem-solving tasks and personnel interactions.

Ability to read journals, manuals and professional publications; speaking informally to groups of co-workers; presenting training; composing original reports, training and other written materials using proper language, punctuation, grammar and style.

Ability to perform specialized technical or entry-level professional work requiring general understanding of operating policies and procedures and their application to problems not previously encountered; application of specialized technical or professional principles and practices or the use of a wide range of administrative methods in the solution of problems; requires normal attention with short periods of concentration for accurate results and occasional exposure to unusual pressure.

Ability to take actions of others, requiring almost constant decisions affecting co-workers, customers or others in the general public; works in a moderately fluid environment with guidelines and rules, but frequent variations from the routine.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work is considered light in nature and involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/light lifting.
