The SharePoint Developer will work closely with other members of the Application Development team to deliver high quality applications for the firm. The Developer will be writing SharePoint custom applications, migrating custom applications and web parts from SharePoint 7 and SharePoint 10, to SharePoint 13, and developing new applications for SharePoint 13 and O365. Additionally, as part of the team, the Developer will work on new firm intranet projects, various lawyer efficiency and productivity development tools, as well as financial systems such as FAAS, FORS and MPI.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design, develop and implement SharePoint applications with SharePoint 2010 and 2013 using CSS/HTML5/JavaScript, SharePoint APIs, SharePoint client object model and rest APIs, custom workflows, content types, custom features, custom web parts, custom controls and master pages.
Translate business requirements into specific designs.
Ensure compliance with design, development, testing and implementation phases of the Software Development Life Cycle Stay up to date on current trends in SharePoint related technologies.
Troubleshooting SharePoint development and migration issues to resolution.
Skills:
Strong expertise in designing, developing and implementing custom SharePoint solutions using a variety of available SharePoint tools and services.
Extensive SharePoint development experience using both server side SharePoint APIs and client side object models in SharePoint 7, 10, and 13
Ability to write custom SharePoint applications that retrieve data from the LOB systems using either LOB APIs or custom SharePoint frameworks, or via direct access to SQL databases.
Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007/2010/2013
Experience working with XML and JSON data formats.
Capable of developing and deploying SharePoint 2010/2013 Apps to SharePoint 2010/2013 on-prem and Office 365.
Wide-range knowledge writing code utilizing SharePoint APIs, CSOM, JSOM and REST API.
Experience with Visual Studio 2010/2013, necessary.
Know-how with SharePoint Designer, Web Parts, and workflow creation.
Strong knowledge of the .NET framework (C# and ASP.NET) and associated technologies.
Ability to write Stored Procedures, complex SQL queries, and ability to analyze SQLdata.
Knowledge of Object Oriented methodologies including .NET Frameworks.
Understanding of SharePoint Administration that includes Central Administration, SharePoint security, creating Sites and Site Collection, configuring Search Scopes, maintaining Term Store, and User Profiles.
Experience with full software development life cycle, including design, testing, deployment, and documentation, as well as new systems and maintaining existing systems
Client-focused attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members.
Ability to work within a team and independently.
Prior experience in Legal industry is a plus.
Experience with BI Reporting tools is a plus.
Prior experience with Team Foundation Server for source control, desired.
Ability to write and execute PowerShell scripts to automate tasks, deploy and administer highly desired.
Experience with JQuery, Angular and Bootstrap frameworks, and virtual server environment such as Hyper-V, desired.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, desired.
Minimum 4-5 years' experience in .NET/C# and SharePoint development.
