SHELTER SERVICES
· Advocate for Sexual Assault victims, battered women and rape victims with agencies, criminal justice systems, social services and other systems.
· Ensure that the needs of women and children in shelter and other persons requesting assistance from CISS are met by responding to their expressed needs.
· Accompany women to court and other hearings, including protection and restraining orders; provide advocacy when systems are treating victims of violence unfairly. Assist with Victim’s Compensation.
· Provide transportation to women and their children only as authorized by policy and directed by procedure.
· Provide crisis line support during office hours and evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Assist women as they enter shelter by completing intake and preparing bedrooms for women and children.
· Provide children’s initial intake and orientation to shelter.
· Provide individual crisis intervention.
· Make appropriate referrals to other services.
· Assist with client tracking systems
· Assist as needed with fundraising and community events.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
