Sewing Technician

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance services. The Sewing Technicians will work with sewing machines that perform single-needle, double-needle, edge band, or overlock operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up Sewing machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Perform, but not limited to, mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of automated and manual production sewing machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance in the sewing equipment every other Saturday, according to company needs.
• Control and inform spare parts inventory need of the purchasing department.
• Perform other related duties as required and or as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sewing machine maintenance and repair.
• Ability to conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service.
• Ability to provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of Sewing production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of Sewing production equipment during machine service.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance in the sewing equipment, according to company needs.
• Ability to control and inform spare parts inventory needs to the purchase department.
• Knowledge of Baby Lock, Bernette, Bernina, Brother, and Janome helpful.
