Summary
The Sewing Finisher performs all tasks involved in the sewing department including cutting, measuring, sewing and inspecting.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Operate equipment to cut, sew and adjust machine functions as necessary using dials, pedals, levers, panel buttons, etc
- Perform hot knife cuts and sew gaskets
- Sew rod pockets
- Monitor quality throughout the shift by inspecting each part before and after it is produced for dirt, debris, and quality
- Keep supplies readily available and organized
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Count, sort, and stack finished work pieces and dispose of waste material
- Clearly label raw material, work in progress, and finished goods
- Assist in production and packaging areas as time allows
- Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment

Education/Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Industrial Sewing experience is a must
- 6 months previous experience in manufacturing
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required throughout the workday.
