Seasonal Farmhand
Seton Harvest, a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program sponsored by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent DePaul is seeking a part-time, Benefit Eligible, Sustainable Living Program Manager.
The Sustainable Living Program Manager will manage the Sustainable Living Program (SLP) to ensure ongoing educational opportunities are provided to individuals seeking a deeper understanding of Sustainable Living practices. Promotes the Sustainable Living educational component of Seton Harvest and seeks ongoing financial support through SLP event management, individual/corporate giving and grant solicitation.

Reports To:Seton Harvest Executive Director
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental education, environmental sciences, natural resource management, or a related field.
Experience: 3- 5 years related experience teaching environmental education in an informal setting.

- Must understand how environmental stewardship, social equity, and economic prosperity are interrelated and how these play a role in reaching the goals of sustainability.
- Must exhibit strong communication, analytical and reasoning abilities.
- Must exhibit good organizational skills, team-oriented collaboration, and be able to effectively communicate with a diverse group of people, including Senior Leadership, Sisters, employees, shareholders, vendors, etc.
- All job duties are expected to be completed in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the Daughters of Charity.
Essential Functions:
- Develops and leads educational programs on the farm to meet the organization's strategic priority of providing Sustainable Living education.
- Designs and implements a Sustainable Living curriculum for on-farm educational experiences for youth, interns, and adults.
- Engages and guides tour groups who visit the farm specifically for SLP learning. During general farm tours, provides an educational segment to the visiting group on subject matter specific to Sustainable Living practices.
- Meets regularly with the Farm Manager and Community Outreach Manager to coordinate on-farm educational and volunteer activities.
- Provides physical assistance on the farm when completing special projects relative to the Sustainable Living Program (Examples include: directing volunteers, event preparation and take-down, etc.).
- On topics related to Sustainable Living education, collaborates with the Executive Director, Community Outreach Manager and Farm Manager in the development of marketing materials such as newsletters, brochures, flyers, and social media posts.
- Participates in the preparation of annual appeals and other fundraising initiatives.
- Responsible for identifying, soliciting and submitting proposals for grants associated with the Sustainable Living Program.
- Works in collaboration with the Executive Director and Community Outreach Manager in identifying, soliciting and submitting proposals for other grants that may support Seton Harvest.
- Monitors the success of the Sustainable Living Program by performing analytics on key performance indicators and providing appropriate reporting to the Executive Director.
- Tracks income and expenses associated with the Sustainable Living Program and provides financial reports as requested by the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Provides reports (written and oral, as requested) to the Executive Director and Board of Directors on matters relating to the Sustainable Living Program.
