ServiceNow Solutions Architect

Where you’ll work:
This fully remote opportunity allows you the flexibility to work from home in support of Epsilon’s USDA DISC Customer.
Our Customer’s Mission:
The USDA Digital Infrastructure Services Center (DISC) operates 24/7/365 to provide comprehensive on premises and cloud-based hosting services, including Disaster Recovery, security, and professional support services and operations to approximately 35 federal organizations. The USDA and other Federal partners depend upon DISC’s highly complex and interconnected technology infrastructure to conduct their operations. To better support this mission, DISC is modernizing their technology by transitioning to a continuous integration, deployment, and code-based organization.
An average day:
The ServiceNow Solutions Architect supports the engineering migration efforts from Remedy to ServiceNow, ensuring a seamless transition of IT Service Management functions. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of our ITSM capabilities and contribute to a seamless transition for a large Federal agency. In this position you will:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive migration plan, considering all aspects of the existing Remedy setup and how those functions would be replicated in ServiceNow, including data migration and operational cutover.
  • Provide expert application integration support as needed via REST, WebHook, and SOAP APIs, including the ability to script in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or JavaScript to ensure API integration success.
  • Identify, evaluate, document, and replicate all Remedy integrations, functions, including access, roles, reporting capabilities, and ticket creation workflows.
  • Design and implement self-service automation tasks within ServiceNow to replicate and enhance existing Remedy functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including management, system administrators, developers, and end-users, to gather requirements and ensure a successful migration.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout the migration process.
  • Conduct thorough testing of the ServiceNow platform to validate the accuracy and functionality of migrated Remedy functions.
  • Develop and execute test cases to ensure a high level of quality and reliability in the new environment.
  • Create detailed documentation of the migration process, configuration settings, and self-service automation workflows.
  • Provide training and documentation to end-users on the new ServiceNow functionalities.
Basic Qualifications:
  • As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C), Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management, with a focus on Remedy and ServiceNow platforms.
  • Deep understanding of ITSM processes, tools, and migration methodologies, along with exceptional analytical and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading the migration of ITSM functions from Remedy to ServiceNow.
  • In-depth knowledge of Remedy and ServiceNow platforms.
  • Strong expertise in creating and customizing ServiceNow workflows, forms, and reports.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
  • Proven ability to leverage API functionality for ServiceNow to target platform integration.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing self-service automation tasks within ITSM platforms.
  • Ability to translate end-user requirements into efficient and automated workflows.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and executing test cases for ITSM platforms.
  • Commitment to ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability in the migrated environment.
  • Proven ability to create comprehensive documentation for migration processes and configuration settings.
  • Certification in ServiceNow Administration preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal data center compliance and security standards preferred.
  • Experience in migrating ITSM functions within a federal government environment preferred.

  • Must be able to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust
