We are hiring a Solution Architect on the ServiceNow Platform Team within the organization of Schneider Electric. This position requires the candidate to be an expert in ServiceNow design and development principles that enables them to collaborate with key stakeholders. The candidate should be able to gather requirements & suggest solutions using ServiceNow best practices. The candidate will join an existing team to continue the expansion of ServiceNow throughout the Schneider Landscape. The candidate will primarily focus on ITSM, HRSD & Enterprise, CSM, ITOM, and ESC ServiceNow modules. To ensure a well maintained & governed solution while focusing on a seamless end user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, document, and create solution proposals throughout the ServiceNow Platform
- Enforces architecture governance structures, methodologies, and compliance activities to maintain regulatory compliance with enterprise ServiceNow standards
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring, perform peer code reviews, and ensure the ServiceNow team follows software development best-practices to the solution defined
- Take part in development activities for complex requirements & project activities
- Drives the creation of relevant and meaningful Solution Architectures, re-usable workflows, and other deliverables that enables the overall business, thus driving better performance
- Help define policy & standards – Architecture principles, Integration standards, Enterprise Requirements, Release management, etc.
- Help with technical architecture documentation for new requirements, building framework structure/templates for capturing technical information to continue future implementations/project work
- Create/maintain API & data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services
- Work with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) technologies in conjunction with ServiceNow
- Collaborate with ServiceNow Support concerning strategies and technical aspects of platform
- Proven experience in understanding & capturing business requirements, streamlining complex business / IT processes, and help manage / deploy ServiceNow capabilities / features in an agile manner
- Good leadership skills coupled with exceptional judgment and tact.
- Understanding of the ServiceNow CMDB & CSDM data model
- Ability to translate requirements into an enterprise solution, break it down in User Stories with a clear deployment roadmap
- Strong expertise in industry standard Enterprise and Solution Architecture Frameworks and Governance
- Excellent knowledge and experience developing in JavaScript and on the ServiceNow Platform
- Strong analytical skills capable of assessing complex business requirements from real world scenarios and the ability to translate them into actionable target architectures, readily understood models and architectural plans
- Deep technical proficiency while the ability to keeping an eye on the bigger picture
- Ability to identify, prioritize, & weigh different options, while balancing business, cost, and technology priorities to determine a best solution
- Contributing to and driving global technology standard proposals and filing exceptions as required
- Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies, architectures, standards & processes, and a good understanding of infrastructure engineering processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good relationship building, facilitation & influencing skills, and experience of leveraging these on business leadership contexts
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
- Working on Agile / Scrum development process
- Certified ServiceNow Administrator
- Certified ServiceNow Implementation Specialist (preferred)
- ServiceNow Advanced Admin Certified (preferred)
- ServiceNow Developer Certified (preferred)
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience within ServiceNow CMDB, CSM, & Service Portal Development
- 4+ years of hands-on development experience on ServiceNow platform overall
- 2+ years of hands-on development & configuration on the ServiceNow Service Portal
- Should have worked on at least 1 end to end implementation of a ServiceNow module
